GLOBAL School Searches – Leadership Appointment Announcement



The GLOBAL School Consulting Group and GLOBAL School Searches are pleased to join the Haven of Peace Academy (Dar es Salaam, Tanzania) in announcing the appointment of Scott R. Martin as the school’s Interim Director, effective July 1, 2026.

Scott brings more than 25 years of international education leadership, including service as Secondary Principal and Guidance Counselor at Mountainview International Christian School in Indonesia, Director of International Student Services at Anderson University, and Founder & CEO of Global Student Solutions (GSS) — a consultancy serving international schools across Africa, Southeast Asia, and Latin America. His work spans school improvement, student development, college and university readiness, and cross‑cultural leadership coaching.


A Third Culture Kid who grew up in Tanzania and Kenya, Scott offers deep cultural fluency and lived understanding of globally mobile communities. He has developed the Global Student Academy (GSA), led a nine‑country consultant team, presented at AISA, authored six books on university readiness and global student development, and hosts the Global Student Voices podcast.


Scott holds an MA in Education and a BA in Political Science from Anderson University. He is fluent in English and conversant in Swahili and Indonesian.

GLOBAL School Searches and the GLOBAL School Consulting Group are pleased to join the Haven of Peace Trust Board of Trustees in announcing the appointment of Dr. Brychan Gilbert as the new Director of Haven of Peace Academy (HOPAC), effective 10 August 2026. Originally from Wales, Dr. Gilbert brings over 26 years of international education leadership experience, having served in senior roles across Europe, Africa, and Asia, including Head of School positions in China, Uganda, and Zambia, and leadership posts in Switzerland and Italy. He has successfully guided schools through accreditation processes, founded new institutions, and mentored teachers and leaders to thrive in multicultural settings. His experience spans both Christian and international schools, giving him a distinct ability to integrate academic excellence with spiritual formation.  Dr. Gilbert holds a PhD in Leadership and Management in International Education from University College London, an MBA in Education from Keele University, and the UK's National Professional Qualification for Headship. He is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Theological Studies, reflecting his ongoing commitment to both scholarship and faith. Haven of Peace Academy (HOPAC) is a private, fully accredited, non-profit Christian international school in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Founded in 1994 by five missionary families, HOPAC has grown into one of East Africa's leading international schools, serving a diverse community of over 400 students representing more than 30 countries, and is committed to integrating the Gospel into every aspect of its curriculum. Congratulations to Dr. Gilbert, the HOPAC Board of Trustees, and the school community, as a new chapter unfolds in the ministry of Haven of Peace Academy. The GLOBAL School Consulting Group and GLOBAL School Searches are pleased to note the appointment of Jannie Le Roux as K–12 Principal at Pan American Christian Academy (PACA) in São Paulo, Brazil, beginning with the 2026–27 school year.  Jannie brings extensive leadership experience across South Africa, Malawi, Vietnam, and Zambia, including service as Principal of Ridgeway Primary School in South Africa, Head of School at Gateway International School in Hanoi, and Head of School at African Bible College Christian Academy in Malawi. Most recently, he has served as Principal and Lead Teacher at Trident Preparatory Kalumbila, where he strengthened academic standards, advanced staff development, enhanced community engagement, and ensured operational and financial stability. His professional preparation includes a Master of Arts in Education and Supervision from the University of Phoenix, leadership training through Wits Business School and Investec South Africa, and additional qualifications in school management, labor relations, contract law, and legislative drafting. Jannie’s background also includes classroom and departmental leadership, with experience in curriculum oversight, safeguarding, crisis management, and strategic school development. We are pleased to recognize Jannie Le Roux’s appointment at PACA and affirm the depth of leadership experience he brings to the school community.

The GLOBAL School Consulting Group and GLOBAL School Searches are pleased to join Lighthouse Primary and Secondary School (Mauritius) in announcing the appointment of Wikus Botha as the school’s next Principal (Head of School), to initiate service in preparation for the 2027 school year.  Wikus brings a strong record of educational leadership across Zimbabwe and Zambia, most recently serving as Head Teacher at Trident Prep Solwezi, where he led curriculum implementation, strengthened staff performance, and advanced community engagement. Prior to this, he served as Head Teacher at Trident Prep Kalumbila, guiding curriculum development, learning support, and the establishment of key school traditions, including the creation of an Outdoor Education Centre. His earlier leadership roles include serving as Principal of Shiloh Learning Centre and Head of Key Stage 2 at Trident Prep Kalumbila. With a professional foundation in teaching English, History, Math, Science, and the Humanities, Wikus has taught at both primary and secondary levels and is known for his commitment to developing relationships, fostering student success, and working collaboratively toward a shared school vision. His academic preparation includes an MBA from UNICAF, an MA in Education from the University of South Wales, a BA in English and History from the University of South Africa, and a Diploma in Education from Midlands Christian Training Centre, complemented by extensive IGCSE training through the University of Cambridge. Having worked in diverse educational settings across Zimbabwe and Zambia, Wikus brings a depth of tenacity, adaptability, and cultural understanding that has shaped his leadership approach and strengthened the school communities he has served.
